Welcome to the premiere episode of The Daily Frugal! Each day I’m going to bring you a :30 second frugal living tip right from my living room! :)

Today’s tip is to Pay Your Bills Online. With the recent increase in stamps, we can do ourselves a favor and start paying our bills online to eliminate the cost of a stamp and gas for driving to the post office.

Check with your bank or the companies you are paying to see if they have an online payment option. If so, sign yourself up and start saving yourself some money. Every little bit helps!

Bonus Frugal Tip: Pay your bills online with a credit card that gives you award points. Just be sure to pay your credit card in full each month to avoid interest costs.

Top 5 Questions I Get Asked About My Episode of Extreme Couponing

Q. Do you have a real job?

A. Haha. YES! I do, I own a Social Marketing Consultancy, Thirteen Thirty Marketing, in Portland, Maine. I help small businesses and large brands engage and market to their customers using sites like Facebook, Twitter, YouTube & blogging.

Q. How did you get on the show?

A. In February my local paper, The Portland Press Herald, did an article about my couponing and TLC saw it and reached out to me to see if I would be interested in being on the show…and I was like…Hell Yeah!

Q. How did you prepare for the show?

As soon as I found out I was going to be on the show, I spent a few hours in the grocery store writing down prices of items and doing a search in my coupon database for matching coupons. Then when I got the sales flyer for the week, I went back in my coupon database and did coupon matchups. I ordered coupons online from MyCouponHunter and had friends and family help collect and print coupons. I then created a spreadsheet with the items, quantity of each item, prices and coupons. I also <strike>cried (a little), stressed out, tried to quit *almost*</strike> It took a lot of time and preparation to pull off a haul like that!

Q. Do you really get along with your ex-husband that well?

A. Reality TV is not always reality ;)

Q. Your sister is The Bachelorette! Can you tell me anything about who she picks or the guys on her season?

A. LOL. Nope!

Saturday Fun – It’s Okay to Make Fun Of Yourself

It’s OK to laugh at yourself. Anyone who knows me, knows that I don’t take myself too seriously at all! Everytime I make another video, I think..OMG..what is wrong with me? I’m a nut! Well..apparently, I’m not the only one who thinks so. Last night, my boyfriend Peter decided to make a video mocking me..and I gotta be honest…I was laughing hysterically! I think he’s done a good job of exaggerating my personality!
